Ladoo

Recipe
Ingredients
Gram flour-1 cup
Water required to make a pourable batter
a pinch of baking soda
Syrup for soaking
Sugar-1cup
Water-3/4 cup
Lemon juice-1/2tsp
cardamom powder

White rock sugar crushed
Rose essence-1tsp
Raisins-12

Method
Mix gram flour with adequate water and a pinch of baking soda to form a pourable batter..not too thick not too watery.
Boil sugar in water add lemon juice and boil till it reaches one atring consistency (ie when you press a drop between your fingers and leave you must have a string forming between).Add cardamom and rose essence.
Heat oil in pan and using a spatula with holes pour the batter on top so that it falls in oil to form boondhis.Fry till cooked..it doesnt take much time.Take the cooked boondhis and drop to the sugar syrup..likewise make boondhis with all the batter and keep soaking them in sugar syrup.
Keep the boondhis soaked in sugar syrup for 30mins or so.Then take them and give one crush in blender just to break down the boondhis slightly.Add crushed white rock sugar to boondhis and mix.Grease your palm with little ghee and start making balls out of boondhis keeping a raisin along with it.When you make balls it may feel soft and sticky but it sets when kept for an hour perfectly. It gives you 12 ladoos.
Yummy ladoos are ready...😊They taste exactly like the shop bought ones...
