Imarti/Jangri

Recipe
Ingredients
Urad dal (whole)-1/2 cup soaked overnite ie 3hours
Raw rice-2tbsp(soak along with urad dal)
salt a pinch
baking soda a pinch
Syrup
Sugar-1 1/2 cup
water- 1/2 cup
orange food colour
lemon juice 1/2tsp
Rose essence-2tsp
Method
Grind the soaked urad dal and rice using hardly two tbsp water.To the well grinded batter add a pinch of food colour and a pinch baking soda and mix well and keep for 30mins.
Prepare sugar syrup add lemon juice to avoid crystallisation and add food color and boil till it reaches one string consistency and add essence ,switch off.
Heat oil in a flat pan..Take batter in a zipper lock bag and cut the end of cone and as the oil starts heating itself in low flame pipe in the batter to oil first two circles and then overlapping flower pattern.Dont use lots of oil..only enough to cook them.flip sides dont burn them.Once cooked soak in syrup while hot itself.Likewise pipe imartis/jhangris in batches and soak in syrup for 5 minutes each and take out.
After that take them out and store in container.
Your yummy Imarti/jangri is ready😊
