Hidden hearts cake

Ingredients
Chocolate cake(eggless)
Wheat flour-1cup
Corn flour-1tbsp
Sugar-3/4cup
Cocoa powder-3tbsp
Baking powder-1tsp
Baking soda-a pinch
Vinegar-1tsp
Veg oil-1/4cup
Cold water-1/2 cup
Vanilla essence-1tsp
Orange Cake
All purpose flour-1 1/2 cup
Corn flour-1tbsp
Sugar-3/4cup
Butter-1/2cup
Egg-1large
Baking powder-1tsp
Orange zest-1tsp
Orange juice-from two medium sized oranges
Milk-2tbsp
Icing
Sugar-1/2cup
Condensed milk-100gms
Water-1cup
Vanilla essence-1tsp
Chocochips-1/2cup
Gelatin-1tbsp
Heavy cream-1/2cup
Method
Chocolate cake
Preheat oven to 180c.
Dissolve sugar in water well add veg oil and essence and mix well add vinegar stir well.To this add seived flours baking powder baking soda cocoa powder and mix without lumps.
Pour the batter in a greased cake pan and bake for 45 minutes ie till toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Keep the cake on rack for cooling.
After the chocolate cake has completely cooled cut the cake into two like as when you do layering.Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter and keep.
Orange cake
After that Preheat oven to 180c.
Cream butter and sugar well.Add egg and beat well till fluffy add in orange zest.Add seived flours baking powder in batches along with orange juice and milk and fold in.The batter will be thick.
Now in a lined greased pan pour half of the batter and arrange the chocolate hearts as shown in the picture below close by.Now slowly pour the rest of the batter covering up the hearts and middle portion well.
Bake for 50 minutes or till the toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Now keep the cake for cleaning.
For the icing
Its optional..you can use any icing of your choice.I used chocolate ganache and fresh cream for piping designs.
Boil sugar condensed milk and water frequently stirring.Meanwhile soak gelatin in some water to bloom up.Once the mixture starts boiling add gelatin and essence and stir well and simmer fir sometime.Now pour the mixture to the chocochips and mix it well after five minutes ysing a manual whisk without any lumps.Keep this till it becomes lukewarm.
Meanwhile you can make buttercream icing taking one stick bytter and 1 cup of icing sugar and a tsp of milk and essence and beating well till fluffy.Now ice the cooled orange cake with buttercream frosti g and refrigerate.
After 30 minutes of refrigeration take out the cake and keep on an elevated pan on a tray and start pouring yhe chocolate ganace in top covering the entire cake.
Leave the cake icing to set and trim the ends and refrigerate.
Later you can pipe in designs using whipped fresh cream or buttercream.
Now your hidden hearts cake is ready to surprise all😍
