Tea Rusk

Ingredients
All purpose flour-1cup
Butter-100gms
Sugar-1/2cup
Egg-1
Milk-1/3cup
Essence-1tsp of your choice
Tuttifruti-1tbsp
Baking powder-1/2tsp
Yellow food colour-a pinch optional
Salt a pinch
Method
Preheat oven to 180c.
Seive flour salt and baking powder and keep aside.
Beat butter and sugar till its mixed well.Add egg beat till pale and fluffy.Add essence and beat.Add flour in two batches alternating with milk.Finally fold in tuttifruti and colour.Your batter will be thick.Transfer it to lined greased pan.
Bake for 45 minutes or as per your oven heat settings ie till a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Now keep the cake on rack to cool.
After cooling preheat oven again to 180c.Cut the cake at the middle and makes thin slices on each side.Place the pieces on lined baking tray and bake each side for 20 minutes.
Cool on rack and store in airtight containers.
Your crispy delicious Tea rusk is ready.
