Mushroom Biryani

Ingredients
Basmati Rice-3cups
Mushroom-2 cups sliced
Coconut milk-1 cup
Water-5 cup
Salt as required
Onion-4 nos sliced
Tomato-2nos cubed
Whole spices(cardamom-5nos/cinnamon stick-4 small 1 inch/cloves-7)
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Chilly powder-2tsp
Biryani masala
Shallots-15
Garlic-6pods
Ginger-a small piece
Dry chilly-3
Green chilly-2
Coriander leaves-a palm full
Mint leaves-a palm full
Coriander powder-4tbsps
Method
Clean and soak mushroom in turmeric water.
Wash and drain basmati rice and keep aside(I use         Indiagate).
Now to prepare biryani masala grind all the ingredients given under biryani masala adding little water except coriander powder.After grinding to the paste add coriander powder and mix.
Our biryani masala is ready.
In a wide deep pan heat oil along with few drops of ghee and saute whole spices..add sliced onions and cook till light brown...add tomato cubed saute and add biryani masala prepared and add turmeric and chilly powder and mix well and add sliced mushroom(I used farm fresh).Cook for 8 minutes on low flame.
To this add  coconut milk and water adjust salt and cover and cook.
Switch off once cooked.
Serve with raita of your choice.
