Jalebi


Ingredients
All purpose flour-1/2cup
Urad dal(powdered)-2tbsps
Baking soda-a pinch plus a drop of lemon juice or a pinch of eno
Ghee-1tsp
Salt a pinch
Water as needed
Syrup
Sugar-200gms
Water-1/3cup
Saffron a pinch
Yellow food colour(optional)
Pistachios crushed(optional for garnish)
Method
Mix flour powdered urad dal salt baking soda plus lemon or eno and ghee.Then add water little by little to form a idly batter consistency type of batter.
Make syrup by boiling sugar and water till it reaches one string consistency.Add saffron and colour.
Heat oil in wide pan.Take batter in sauce bottle or piping bag and once oil is medium hot pipe batter in the spiral pattern.Flip and cook till crisp.Immediately soak them in hot sugar syrup for 2 minutes and take out.
Your yummy Jalebis are ready crispy out and juicy inside.
Serve with crushed pistachios sprinkled on top.
