Osmania Biscuits

Recipe
Ingredients
All purpose flour-200gms
Butter-120gms(at room temp)
Powdered Sugar-80gms
Milk powder-10gms
Custard powder-10gms
Cardamom powder-a pinch
Baking powder-a pinch
Milk-10ml
Salt a pinch
Milk wash
Warm milk-1/4cup
Saffron a pinch
Method
Cream butter and powdered sugar till creamy.Add 10 ml milk and combine.
Add flour,milk powder,custard powder,cardamom powder,baking powder and salt to this and mix to form a dough.
Combine warm milk and saffron and keep aside.Line a tray.Preheat oven to 180c.
Divide dough to two parts and dust the counter top and roll out each part to required thickness.It may look like it may break but thats the right consistency.Roll slowly.Now using a round cookie cutter or lid cut out dough discs and place on tray.
Likewise use up all of the dough and make discs.
Now once done slowly pour the saffron milk on them throughout so that milk coats every dough discs uniformly.
Drain out excess milk.(add sugar and drink it after boiling if you like).
Bake them for 15 to 20 minutes based on your oven heat.
Once done cool them on rack.
Store in airtight containers and use.Your yummiest Osmania biscuits are ready..
