Dhokla

Recipe
Ingredients
Gram flour/besan-1cup
Turmeric-1/2tsp
Sugar-2tbsp
Lemon juice-2tbsp
Ginger paste-1/2tsp
Cumin powder-1/4tsp
Water as required
Oil-2tbsps
Salt a pinch
Baking powder-3/4tsp
Baking soda-a pinch
Tempering
Mustard-1tsp
Sesame seed (black)-1tsp
Green chilly-4
Grated coconut-1tbsp
Curry leaves-1tbsp
Method
Take gram flour,sugar,cumin powder,ginger paste,salt,turmeric powder in a bowl and mix well.Add required water,oil and lemon juice to make a idly batter consistency batter without any lumps.
Let it rest for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes heat a steamer with water(idly steamer or cooker).Add baking powder and soda to the batter and combine well to get a fluffy batter.Transfer it to a pan and keep the pan in steamer and cook for 15 to 18 minutes till its done.
Take out the pan once done and let it cool.
Tempering
Meanwhile heat oil in pan splutter mustard,add grated coconut,green chilly,curry leaves,sesame seeds and roast slightly.
Remove the cooled dhokla from pan and cut it and pour the tempered ingredients over it spreading throughout.
Serve with your desired chutney or you can even have them just like that.
Your fluffy yummy Dhokla is ready.😋
