Jalebis with leftover idli batter

 Recipe 
Ingredients 
Fermented leftover idli batter-1/2cup
 Yellow food colour- a drop 
Sugar syrup
 Sugar-3/4 cup 
Water-1/2 cup 
Lemon juice-a drop 
Cardamom powder or pods-a pinch 
Rose essence or saffron-a drop/pinch 
Garnish Crushed pistachios 
Method Add yellow food colour to leftover idli batter and mix well.Transfer the same to a ziplock bag to pipe in or a plastic sauce bottle with nozzle. Sugar syrup Boil sugar and water add lemon juice.Boil till it reaches ine string consistency and add cardamom powder and essence and switch off. Heat oil in wide pan.Pipe in swirls once hot.Flip and cook.Once done drop the swirls into warm sugar syrup.Immerse well for 2 minutes and take out. Garnish with crushed pistachios and serve the crispy juicy yum Jalebis😍☺
