Kayalora Prawns Roast
Recipe
Ingredients
Prawns deshelled and deveined-500gms Shallots/pearl onions-1/2cup chopped
Onion chopped-1 small
Ginger garlic paste-2tsp
Tomato chopped-1
Green chilly-4slitted
Curry leaves
Mustard-a.pinch
Fenugreek-a pinch
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder plus coriander powder dry roasted-1tbsp each
Pepper powder-1tbsp
Fennel powder-1tsp
Tamarind water-1/4cup (soak a small ball.of tamarind in warm water)
Salt as needed
Method
Heat coconut oil in pan.Add mustard and fenugreek and let it splutter.Add shallots and chopped onion and saute till transclucent and cooked.Add ginger garlic paste,green chillies and curry leaves and saute in low flame till cooked well.Now added prawns and turmeric and needed salt and mix well and cook in low flame for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes open the lid and add tomato, dry roasted chilly powder coriander mix,pepper,fennel and tamarind water and mix well and civer and cook and let it thicken in low flame stirring in between. Once it thickens switch off flame adjusting salt if needed and drizzling a drop of coconut oil on top. Your delicious Kayalora prawns roast is ready😋
