Ingredients
Kakka irachi/clam meat-500gms
Onion-1 sliced
Shallots-2 tbsp chopped
Ginger and garlic crushed-2tsp
Tomato-1 chopped
Kokum/kudampuli 1 soaked in 3/4 cup warm water
Green chilly slitted-2
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder-1tbsp
Coriander powder-11/2tbsp
Garam masala-1tsp
Pepper powder-1tsp
Fennel powder-1/4tsp
Salt as needed
Curry leaves
Coconut pieces-4tbsp
Method
Clean and wash the kakka irachi/clam meat well and cook in little water adding a pinch of turmeric powder and salt and keep aside. Heat coconut oil in pan and add onion,shallots and coconut pieces and saute till transclucent.Add crushed ginger and garlic and saute.Add turmeric powder,chilly powder,coriander powder ,garam masala,pepper powder,fennel powder and saute till raw smell goes.Add green chilly and tomato and cook till oil seperates.Add cooked kakka irachi/clam meat and kokum/kudampuli water and add required salt,curry leaves and cover and cook.Stir in between. Cook till it becomes roasted consistency. Your delicious Kakka irachi/clam meat is ready...😋
