Vanilla fresh cream cake

Ingredients
Maida-1 1/3 cup
Sugar-2/3 cup
Butter-1/4 cup
Egg-2
Baking powder-1tsp
Baking soda-1/4tsp
Vanilla essence-1tsp
Buttermilk-3/4 cup
salt a pinch
Icing
Heavy cream-1 cup
Icing sugar-4tbsp
Method
Preheat oven to 180c.
Sift flour baking powder baking soda and salt and keep aside.
Beat butter and sugar till it forms sandlike and add ine by one egg and beat till fluffy also add vanilla essence.To this mixture fold in the dry mixture in three batches alternating with buttermilk.
Pour the batter to the greased pan and bake for 35mins till the toothpick comes clean when pricked.
Let the cake cool well on rack.
Prepare icing.by beating heavy cream icing sugar and a drop of vanilla essence till stiff peaks form.
Once cake is cooled completely cut into two or three halves and apply the fresh cream on each layer and place one by one layer on top.
Cover the whole cake with frosting and pipe in your designs and refrigerate for atleat an hour or so.
Your easy yummy Vanilla fresh cream cake which will melt in your mouth...I made a marshmallow fondant baby boy figurine to top on cake too..as it was a birthday cake..
