Recipe
Ingredients
Milk-2cup
Semolina/sooji-1/4cup
Corn flour-1tbsp
Sugar-5tbsp
Rose essence/orange blossom water-1tsp
Topping
Whipped cream-1/4cup
Powdered pistachio
Cherry(optional)
Sugar syrup(1:1 ratio) or honey
Method
Combine milk, semolina and corn flour well and boil stirring it.Add sugar when it starts thickening.Add rose essence or orange blossom water and stir till it becomes a glossy mass.Switch off flame and let it cool.
You can prepare sugar syrup by boiling 1/4cup sugar in 1/4cup water or use honey while serving.
Once cooled transfer the layali lubnan to a tray and spread.Top it with whipped cream.
Sprinkle powdered pistachios on top and cherries.
Let it set for an hour.
After an hour cut them into squares and serve with sugar syrup or honey drizzled.Yum...
