Ingredients
Bread slices with sides cut-5nos
Cream-1tbsp
Milk powder-2tbsp
Milk-required to bind(I used 1 tbsp)
Syrup
Sugar-1cup
Water-1cup
Cardamom pods or powder-1tsp
Rose essence-1/4tsp(optional)
Lemon juice-1/2tsp
Method
Syrup
Boil water and sugar and add lemon juice and cardamom powder and rose essence.Switch off flame.
Jamuns
Shred bread slices and powder in mixie.Add milk powder and cream and add milk as needed to bind and form a dough.Do not overknead.Make lemon sized balls out of it.
Heat oil in kadai.Fry the balls flipping sides till golden brown.Meanwhile keep syrup on low flame.
Drop the fried jamuns into hot syrup.
Let it rest for 2 hours once done.
