Mini Apple pie

Recipe

 Ingredients

 Crust

 All purpose flour-1cup (120gms)
Cold butter-1/2cup (60gms)
 Orange zest-1tbsp
Sugar-4tbsps
Baking powder-a pinch
 Vanilla essence-s drop
Salt a pinch
 Water-2tbsps

 Filling
Apple-1chopped
Firmly packed brown sugar-1/4cup
Cinnamon powder-1/4tsp
 All purpose flour-1tbsp
 Butter-1/4tsp
 Egg-1beaten

 Method

 Crust

 To the flour add cold butter grated then add orange zest,vanilla essence,baking powder,sugar and salt and mix well to form a crumb like texture.To this add 2 tbsps of water or a drop more if needed and knead well to form a hard dough.Cover this with a cling wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

 Filling

 To the chopped apple add firmly packed brown sugar,cinnamon powder,flour and butter and mix well.

Assembly and bake

Preheat oven to 180c and grease a muffin pan with butter.
 Now take out the dough and flatten gently using a rolling pin.Now cut 4 bigger circles and 4 smaller circles or strips.Now keep the bigger circle into each muffin hole and press gently.Keep the filling inside and do egg wash on its ends.Now take the smaller dough circle and place it on top and seal and make a cross like cut at center or cut the dough to stripes and cover as Ive done.Do egg wash in top. Now bake them in the tray for 30 minutes or till done as per your oven heat keeping on top rack. Once done let it rest for sometime then unmould and serve the yummiest Mini Apple piešŸ˜‹Sure a show stealeršŸ’
